Overcoming Writer’s Block with EFT Tapping

Are you struggling to overcome writer’s block?
Oh my…I can’t tell you how many times I sat down to write on my EFT4Vets book.

Even though I have no problem teaching workshops, I had the hardest time putting my thoughts and knowledge into writing.

Not very helpful when one is trying to keep two blogs filled with up to date information and inspiration, I can tell you that…
You guessed it: I had to tap on this, I mean, REALLY tap on it 🙂

As a matter of fact, there were SO many issues coming out of this problem, that I decided to write some posts on this. I hope it will help you as much as it helped me.
Here is a good start for releasing  writer’s block, that might be enough to get you over the first hump:

KP: Even though a part of me is scared about writing right now, I honor this part of me with kindness and compassion

KP: Even though I feel completely blocked when I want to write, I completely accept myself and my creativity anyway

KP: Even though I am so frustrated that I don’t know what to write, I deeply and completely accept that I have great freedom and creativity within me

TH: A part of me is blocked when I want to write
IE: This is scary! Where did my creativity go?
OE: I can’t express my thoughts on paper anymore
UE: And I can’t believe that this is happening!
UN: How frustrating is this, I sit down and nothing comes to mind
CB: I just can’t seem to be able to start
UA: But I am willing now
TH: To treat myself with kindness and acknowledgment

TH: I wonder what would happen if I let go of this block
IE: I wonder if I would feel safe to put my thoughts on paper
OE: I wonder if I would feel safe and comfortable
UE: To explore what my thoughts really are
UN: Maybe I have everything it takes to make a great story
UL: Maybe I can finish my book easily
CB: Maybe all I need to do is getting myself out of the way emotionally
UA: And allow myself to feel surprisingly calm and content with whatever comes to mind
TH: I chose to trust that the thoughts flow comfortably and easily and surprise me with their message.

TH: I chose to regain my sense of trust and safety now
IE: I am grateful for my creativity and my ability to write easily
OE: I am grateful for my good ideas
UE: And I am grateful that all the good thoughts are now sorting themselves out in the back of my mind
UN: I am so grateful how easy it now is to express myself in writing
CB: And how comfortable and continuously my thoughts and words are flowing out
UA: And I am grateful for all the amazing things that I am about to create
TH: I can’t wait to get started, and I am curious and excited about what I am going to write!

Take a deep breath and see what comes up now. Do you have more resistance to work with?
Just address it one step at a time until you feeel the freeddom to write with joy again!
I am looking forward to your feedback!
Much Love
Ingrid

    Hi there!

I used your script for tapping away my writer’s block. It did get me writing, however, it was a veritable, um, vomit(for want of a better term) of words that didn’t make any sense, some of these words don’t even exist! I figured it was just all my mental blocks being cleared out by this spewing of nonsensical prose. Unfortunately however, just as a scene was beginning to form in my mind and while I was halfway through putting it down, I was interrupted by someone walking into the room. The result is that I can’t seem to continue the same scene. Do you think I could use this same script again? Or would I have to change it a little, if so, how? I would really appreciate the help!

    Regards,
    Avishi

Hi Avishi, thanks for trying the tapping scripts! Yes, you can use and modify these scripts as often as you’d like. You always want to make sure that they are addressing a specific issue, not just a general one, so I’d take a moment and truly describe to yourself what you would like to release. “Even though all the words are coming out at once, even though I am overwhelmed by writing,….” Tap as often as necessary and, absolutely, make sure that ou use specific issues. I hope this helps!
