Have The Courage To Reinvent Yourself For A Career Change

Do you feel stuck in your life? Do you feel that what you have been doing isn’t giving you the satisfaction you need and deserve?

You might find yourself looking at your life and wondering what changes you can make to make a difference.

You might find that a goal you had isn’t getting you anywhere, and that it needs a more drastic change to find new meaning and success in your life.

You might find that it is time to reinvent yourself.

Reinventing oneself means looking into a new direction, not improving an old one.

It means taking what we have learned from past activities, and putting them into a new context, finding new purpose and meaning.

It also means letting go of hopes and dreams that seemed so possible, so almost in reach, so desirable, admitting and standing by the things didn’t work out, and finding completion with those which did.  It might also be time to cut loose and count the losses, releasing any feeling of remorse and guilt, and forgiving oneself for anything that should have been done differently or better.

After all: given the exact circumstances of our lives, we always do the best that we can.

Reinventing oneself means finding closure and peace with the past, embracing and honoring what we have learned and starting new with curiosity and a clean, fresh slate.

EFT is a great tool to help us find closure with our past and move forward in a surprising and new way.

I am 56 years old, married with two children and a grandson. I have been feeling that I need a revolution in my life, but also realize how late it is to do that. I have some skills but not much. How does one go about to do this?

Hi Michael, thanks for your post. I would start with becoming clearer about what makes you feel this way. Do you want a change of the old, or do you want to focus on something specific and new? Why is this? What drives you? There is a perfect age for everything, and it sounds as if you have reached that for what you feel you need. Sometimes, when we realize that we need a change, we believe it is all about the people in our lives, while they are actually not what is causing the feeling. They are who are reflecting it.
      Does this make sense?
I’d be glad to offer you a free 20 min consultation where we can talk more about what you want and what you want to end.
Please email me, so we can find a good time to talk next week!
      Hope this helps.
      Love
      Ingrid

I agree with Mark – it really is so difficult to ask someone to essentially flip what they have known all their lives – even if for the better.

I think for most its a difficult task to do a complete 180.
For most to improve concentration enough to make the leap is quite difficult.

Yes, its not easy, but with a bit of concentration i think its not only possible, but necessary.
