My "Big Why" video – feeling a bit vulnerable…

I have never shared this in public, but it has become more and more important to me to make people understand WHY I do what I do.

It is so easy to see the outer shell of others: The perfect website, the polished social media presence, the styled videos with the flawless scripts that are so ever impressive.

But in all reality, it isn’t always that easy. We all have our stories that we usually don’t share.

I know I have mine.

And last week, I was challenged by my mastermind group, to create a video that explains WHY I do what I do, WHY I am passionate about my work, and WHY I feel called and so deeply connected to helping others become a success.

Now the perfectionist in me would like to go back and do it all again: Better light, definitely no hoodie 🙂 better makeup,… (I filmed this at night right before ending the day), and cutting out pauses,…)

But then I thought “what the heck!”

I so deeply believe that we don’t have to be perfect to be successful, and that it isn’t our outer shell that makes us powerful and attractive to others.

So I ditched my desire to edit, and just put it up there as it is.

Please be kind :-). I do feel a bit vulnerable as I am posting this…

Bravo! The entire field of energy healing needs more people with such openness and honesty as you display here. Too many people are right where you were and need this help to get on track with running a business, not a charity. I too have fallen prey to this tendency. We want to help and we see the need and we have the skills and we do good work. But ultimately it is not sustainable. Great to see you on track and living your passion. You are a wonderful role model and I will send more people to see your video. The hoodie is perfect BTW!

Hi Steve! Well….Thank You! This coming from you really means a lot. I admire your work. You have made such a huge difference to so many. Yes, nobody gets hurt by our success. But we can touch many more lives. Thanks again!

Your video is exactly as it should be. I am at the brink of finally getting the compensation I earn. You are living proof of the success of your method. Thank you for your honesty and for sharing your story. I look forward to meeting you.

I love your honest and powerful video. Thanks for sharing from your heart!
As women we have been taught to give it all away as if every one else’s happiness, comfort, safety, and financial stability is more important than our own. “You can search throughout the entire universe for someone who is more deserving of your love and affection than you are yourself, and that person is not to be found anywhere. You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection”. Buddha

Ingrid, this is beautiful and perfect exactly as it is right here. Your natural beauty, sweet disposition, caring heart, and sensitivity shine bright. For this, there is no make up job or lighting. You have to possess it for it to show. And lady, you got it all. Much Love.

Ingrid thank you for being so brave to share this. What a breakthrough! So many women (in particular) have trouble charging. You’re doing a great service to tell your story. Don’t worry – the message is what is important – not what you wear. Besides you look great in your hoodie and beautiful without makeup. <3 PS. there is a great book about giving in business called Give and Take by Adam Grant. It gives insights to those of us who are generous and love to share so see how we can have success and be generous!
